ROFLMAO…. I’ve been TRYING to get this blog re-booted for weeks now, but in-between the move and re-thinking the whole modeling/spokemodel/what-have-you game plan, I never seem to get to it. Plus, there’s the whole thing with my therapist back in Seattle. As long as I was seeing her, she MADE me blog to get things off my mind. Of course, I miss not having a regular therapist — she hit the ceiling when I told her I was moving.
Why Copenhagen? Well, I’m here with Harold (not his real name), who’s traveling on biz. He called me last week and told me he had to make an emergency trip to Amsterdam to do some legal stuff (he does fashion copyrights between Europe & the U.S.). ANYWAY, he said if I send you a plane ticket, will you meet me in Amsterdam Friday? Says he needs me to help him relax. LOL….. So I do, red-eye (which isn’t too bad in business class if you’re cool with sleeping on planes). I meet him at Le Meridian in Amsteram on Saturday morning…. he’s heading straight for negotiations all day. I rest, spend the afternoon at a museum, meet him back at the hotel for dinner. My body clock still says U.S. time, so dinner is lunch. He’s totally stressed, and tells me that Sunday (yesterday) we’ve got to “run” to Copenhagen because the Amsterdam talks aren’t going well. Anyway, I’m here (Copenhagen Marriott, which has a great view) and it’s nearly 11:00pm local time, but my body thinks it’s afternoon. Whatever….
He’s back in meetings. We’ve spent almost no time together (my trip is costing him a fortune!). Whatever… it’s given me some great time to think. He says we’re headed back tomorrow or Wednesday. I’m fine…. I could live in Copenhagen, if the weather wasn’t EXACTLY like Seattle, which is where I’m trying to LEAVE!
Wow! Great to see you post after several months. Glad you’re having fun in Amsterdam and Copenhagen. Nothing beats having someone paying for your trip and you don’t have to do anything in return.
After your trip, where are you moving to? East coast? Write when you get a chance. Take care!
